What are the alternatives / competition to the Tarasul?
To our knowledge there are currently no alternatives that offer functionality or features similar to those of Tarasul.
However, there are good regional firms who offer direct email marketing service by sending your email messages:
- Using their own mailing list.
- The messages are in form of an image, difficult to prepare and not displayed by many recipients.
- The messages are sent from an email address derived from one of firms' domain names.
- The tariffs are between 25 and 40 U.S. cents for each message with a minimum between 5.000 and 10.000 messages, around U.S. $ 2.500 at least for each mailing campaign.
One of those firms occasionally offers special discounts so the cost for one mailing campaign to their database of 100,000 email addresses in Saudi Arabia is in the range of US$2,000.
There are also great international firms who offer services similar to those offered by the regional firms mentioned above except that they require you to use your own address list. Their prices are substantially lower but their systems are not optimized for Arabic language.
